The ideal candidate for this role would be providing engineering direction to the engineers within the assigned area and come from a background of Water.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer, Portfolio Design Manager, and project Design Managers to plan for upcoming projects and design review milestones.
- Review Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) and 3D models to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and technical standards.
- Validate project design calculations and confirm their completion by project teams.
- Promote sustainability and drive low-carbon design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with process standards, regulations, and Anglian Water specifications.
- Develop and share design alerts to capture and disseminate lessons learned.
- Provide technical expertise for lettings within the @One frameworks.
- Conduct site visits as necessary.
- Present lessons learned and technical advancements to engineers and the broader alliance.
- Adopt and promote new digital technologies to support the creation of fully attributed 3D models.
- Support efforts to reduce carbon footprints and enhance natural capital within designs.
- Maintain technical awareness across the portfolio and share insights with all process engineers.
- Hold a Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification or demonstrate degree-level knowledge through relevant experience.
- Be chartered or actively working towards chartered status.
- Possess experience in water-sector assets and capital projects or a design and build environment.
- Have a proven track record of mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
Day rates are negotiable, and additional benefits will depend on the work status of candidates.
