Asset Manager

Location: Stamford / Spalding, Lincolnshire

Salary: Dependent on experience & reviewed annually, pay increases will be rewarded in line with portfolio growth. Commission scheme and benefits in addition.

Hours: 30 hours per week, flexibly worked.

Working alongside an established team, this position is a key role within the company's lettings business.

The Role

The role entails looking after a section of their managed portfolio, taking care of the properties, landlords and tenants from the very first step of marketing the property all the way through their journey with the company. You will be trained to present their services to a new landlord and to leverage further business from their current landlords in order to build your earnings with uncapped commission potential. You must be understanding and willing of the fact that this role will involve tasks such as searching for water meters, chasing arrears payments, giving tenants notice and sometimes dealing with emergency repairs on an evening or weekend. They are looking only for enthusiastic people with positive energy to bring to the team.

The company also have opportunities available for roles within the sales side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking and carrying out viewings
  • Processing applications
  • Carrying out property inspections
  • Handing over properties to new tenants
  • Discussing their services with potential new landlords
  • Helping current landlords to improve their portfolio depending on their needs ie buying more, selling off some, upgrading the existing properties, re-financing
  • Managing property repairs by liaising with tenant, landlord and contractor to agree works, quotes and timescales
  • Organising tenancy renewals and rent reviews

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous property experience is required for this role, but could potentially be substituted with a positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly
  • A strong positive attitude
