Key Responsibilities:Client Transactions: Accurately process client receipts and payments.Cheque Management: Handle un-cashed cheques and stop any over 6 months old.Account Transfers: Execute client-to-client account transfers efficiently.Balance Monitoring: Keep an eye on client balances and manage returns as needed.Compliance: Ensure all transfers comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules.Inbox Management: Respond to client account queries within 24 hours.Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of client bank accounts and support month-end duties.Cheque Issuance: Ensure client account cheques are accurate and issued promptly.Residual Balances: Assist with managing residual balances in line with SAR rules.Reporting: Report any breaches of SAR.Support: Provide day-to-day support to the Cashier Manager and Financial Controller.Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with various other tasks as needed.

Requirements:Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel at an intermediate/advanced level.Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a Solicitor’s accounts department.Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting systems, banking systems, and case management systems.Compliance: Full knowledge and understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules.Communication: Excellent ability to communicate at all levels and across departments.Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and planning abilities.Time Management: Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.Teamwork: Capable of working independently and as part of a team.Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
