Senior Laminator
40 hours a week + potential overtime available.
Salary: £38,000 to £45,000
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Laminator to join a leading motorsports business working on bespoke, high-end composite components. With major projects ahead, I am looking to speak with skilled professionals to take a leadership role and drive excellence in composite manufacturing.
You will be responsible for the manufacture and efficient, timely delivery of high-quality, carbon-infused composite components. Previous experience in composite laminating within the F1, Motorsport, Automotive, or Aerospace industries would be highly advantageous. A strong understanding of engineering practices and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings are needed.
The Role:
·Lead & mentor a small team of laminators, ensuring high-quality production standards.
·Understand the carbon fibre lay-up, resin infusion, and vacuum system processes to produce precision engineered components.
·Collaborate with design, engineering, and the build teams to ensure project specifications are met and on time.
·Conduct quality inspections and testing, ensuring components meet the highest motorsport standards.
·Troubleshoot technical challenges in lamination and contribute to process improvements.
·Ensure health & safety procedures are followed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
·Work on bespoke projects, adapting to unique customer requirements and tight deadlines.
 
Requirements:
·Experience in carbon fibre laminating and resin infusion techniques.
·A keen eye for detail and the ability to work with precision in high-pressure environments.
·Motorsport, Automotive, or aerospace experience is highly desirable.
