Quality & Compliance Coordinator – Peterborough – £34,000 - £36,000 Are you passionate about food safety and quality? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and compliance are key? This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join a leading organisation in the Food Manufacturing sector.With a strong reputation for Quality, Innovation and Sustainability, this company supplies a range of clients, from independent brands to major retailers.   As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure their products meet the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements. As a Quality & Compliance Coordinator you will:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 9001 etc.
  • Maintain and update Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and assist with third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistency, food safety, and product quality
  • Investigate and address customer complaints and product non-conformances, leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support supplier approval processes, reviewing supplier specifications and ensuring documentation compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP plans, ensuring critical control points (CCPs) are effectively monitored.
  • Deliver food safety training to staff, fostering a strong food safety culture.
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Support sensory evaluation and lab testing of coffee samples, analysing quality metrics such as moisture content and cupping scores.
The successful Quality & Compliance Coordinator will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience in a quality, food safety, or compliance role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, ISO standards, and UK/EU food safety regulations.
  • Ability to conduct audits, maintain compliance records, and manage quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with production teams, suppliers, and external auditors.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
