Opus people solutions on behalf of Peterborough City Council have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join their Mash Team.

Length of assignment: 3 Months
Hours per week: 37
Hourly rate: 45
Location: Peterborough
Remote/Office based: Hybrid 2-3 days in the office

As a MASH Team Manager, you will provide leadership, management and professional guidance to your team.

You will promote excellent social work practice, ensuring timely assessments, purposeful interventions and effective safeguarding measures.
Through one to one and group supervisions, you will challenge and motivate the team to deliver outstanding services to our vulnerable children, young people and their families while upholding high professional standards.

  • To manage and supervise a Children and Families Team of staff which may include Social Workers, Senior Practitioners and Children's Advice and Information Officers.
  • To be responsible for the management of incoming work including prioritisation and allocation through caseload management of team members review and closure of cases.
  • To identify the need for any appropriate service meetings, including those involving other agencies and to be responsible for ensuring that such meetings are called, where appropriate chairing them and for establishing clear outcomes and that any actions are followed up.
