START AND FINISH AT THE PETERBOROUGH LOCATION!
You will be required to complete a HGV Class 1 Driver Assessment and Site Induction prior to starting with this client.
The Transport Manager here is an experienced HGV 1 Driver now the Trainer Assessor.
You will be required to complete a 12 week Temporary to Permanent placement/probation period for this role before a permanent position is offered - YOU WILL BE GUARANTEED A PERMANENT POSITION AFTER 12 WEEKS. This probation period will be paid weekly on the below pay structure;
- MON-FRI DAYS = £15.00 -18.00 PER HOUR DAYS DEPENDENT ON PAYE TYPE with a minimum 10hrs Paid Per Day
- MON-FRI NIGHTS =£16.00 -19.00 PER HOURDAYSDEPENDENT ON PAYE TYPEwith a minimum 10hrs Paid Per Day
- SATURDAY & SUNDAY D/N =£17.00 -20.00 PER HOURDAYSDEPENDENT ON PAYE TYPEwith a minimum 10hrs Paid Per Day
- NIGHTS OUT PAID TAX FREE @ £26.02 PER NIGHT AWAY
- 6ON3OFF shiftpattern
- 50 - 65hr every week GUARANTEED
- This will be paid weekly every Friday for 12 weeks
- New Trucks
- Fridge and Microwave Ready
- Allocated Trucks between two drivers on alternating shifts

What do you need to have as HGV Class 1 Driver for this role?
- Must hold an LGV Class 1 C+E License (6MONTHS MINIMUM PREFERRED HOWEVER, SOME EXCEPTIONS)
- Driver CPC.
- Sound knowledge of Drivers hours and Tachograph regulations.
- Must have experience driving articulated vehicles (new passed drivers are accepted subject to enhanced assessment).
- Must be committed to provide excellent customer service.
- Reliable.
- Honest and trustworthy.

- PAYE SCHEMES ONLY
Key responsibility for you..
- Carry out daily vehicle checks as per company works instructions
- Deliveries at customer premises in accordance with customer and site procedures
- Off-loading at sites, NO MANUAL WORK - ALL TRUNKING/TRAILER SWAPS
- Long haul HGV driving/trampers. Drivers will be required to night out.
- Contracted 50 hour working week, overtime often available and sometimes required.
- Working at controlled DC & Factory Sites.
- Flexible in driving other types of vehicles as required.
- Comply with road transport and Tachograph regulations.
- Meet driver performance standards.
- Manual work, moving cages and unloading your trailer
