- Lead and manage all sales and business development efforts to achieve aggressive growth targets.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base and strengthen market presence.
- Take full ownership of the sales function, including reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Directly manage and mentor the internal sales team (currently two people), with a view to expanding.
- Identify, establish, and manage distributor agreements to enhance market reach.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, both in the UK and internationally (USA, Europe, China, etc.).
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings to drive business growth.
- Proven track record in sales leadership, with experience in doubling sales within a two-year period.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to take ownership and drive company growth.
- Hands-on approach—willing to roll up your sleeves and work collaboratively in a small team.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to engage effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for achieving results.
- Technical, electrical or engineering sector experience (desirable, not essential).
- Must be based in or willing to commute to Peterborough daily—this is an office-based role (no remote or hybrid working).
