Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children's care home to find a Team Leader to join the team in Peterborough.

The children's home offers a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour aged between 7-17 years.

Duties:

  • To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained
  • To support the Manager in all aspects of the home’s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home
  • To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home
  • To maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required
  • To attend review and planning meetings when required

Responsibilities:

  • To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families
  • To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents
  • To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff.
  • Carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary
  • Level 3 in Childcare is desirable

Salary: Hourly £13.60 plus £70.50 Sleep-in
