Sonic Summary

A Senior Civil Pipeline Engineer is needed for a contract position in Peterborough, PE2, offering £30 per hour PAYE for 40 hours a week.
The role involves working on transformational pipeline engineering projects for critical water transmission infrastructure and managing a team.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and be a Chartered Civil Engineer with expertise in pipeline design delivery.
Proficiency in digital analysis packages such as HADES, Inforworks, and EPANET, as well as knowledge of hydraulics and pipeline materials, is required.
The position requires some UK and international travel and is expected to last for 6-12 months, starting as soon as possible.

About the role

Working on transformational pipeline engineering projects for critical water transmission infrastructure
Managing a team, undertaking technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.

The right candidate

Comfortable with UK and international travel when required
Chartered Civil Engineer with + 2yrs relevant work experience
Experience in pipeline design delivery, including engagement of multidisciplinary design resources.
Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance. eg HADES, Inforworks, EPANET.
Sound knowledge of hydraulics, pipe restraint and jointing, pipeline materials, bedding and UTX.
