We are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced Site Engineer to join a team working on the Eastern Highways Alliance based in Peterborough, the ideal candidate will be an individual who has prior knowledge and experience in the civil engineering sector, specifically, involvement in highways, infrastructure or local authority projects
About the role of Site Engineer
The current role would require a Site Engineer to look after a package of works in the Eastern Highways Alliance. These projects are to be in and around the Peterborough area. A successful Site Engineer will be responsible for supporting site operations, setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring that the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards working closely with the site team and project manager to ensure daily site activities are completed on time and in line with specifications.
Responsibilities for Site Engineer
A desired Site Engineer can expect to be involved with or responsible for:
- Setting out works and site surveys sing GPS and traditional methods.
- Assisting with coordination and supervision of site operations
- Supporting the Project Manager with daily reports, records and progression updates.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and best practice across the project
- Managing and checking engineering documentation including drawings and specifications
- Overseeing material deliveries and checking against technical requirements.
Requirements for Site Engineer
Our client will consider Site Engineers who can, demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience working on Highways.
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency with setting out equipment (Total Station, GPS)
- A Full UK Driving License
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality assurances processes
