What will I be doing?
In this position, you'll take ownership of key projects and operate both independently and as part of a team. You'll be based out of our clients' Peterborough office, and your focus areas will include:
- Contract administration and project monitoring
- Building surveys and report writing
- Schedules of Condition and planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Preparing tenders and contract documents
- Advising on appointing contractors, designers, and procurement routes
- Preparing scheme designs, specifications of works, and schedules of dilapidations
- Advising on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings
- Ensuring compliance with CDM2015 and health and safety regulations
- Demonstrating a genuine understanding of professional building surveying
- Adhering to RICS guidelines and best practices, including Party Wall, Project Management, Employer's Agent, and Reinstatement Cost Assessment
What do I need?
We're looking for a Building Surveyor with the following qualifications and skills:
- MRICS, CIOB, CIAT, or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of CDM and health and safety regulations
- Experience in financial cost management
- Ability to build relationships and develop new business opportunities
- Full UK driving licence
