GBR Recruitmentare hiring for a Fire Alarm Design Engineer/Surveyor to join a highly reputable Fire, Security & Access Control Engineering Services business within the Lincolnshire area.

You will be a time served Fire Alarm Systems Designer with FIA certification, plus used to working in Kitemark & BAFE Safety registered companies.

You will have had previous exposure to varying brands of Fire Alarm Systems, such as Advanced, Kentec Synchro, C-Tec, EDS, Vesda & Fire Misting Systems

Duties:

  • Attending site and customer meetings / undertaking site surveys,discussingfire alarm compliance requirements and system options available to the customer, advising the customer on the best fire alarm solutions to meet their business needs i.e. best brand, specifications / capabilities of install, volume of alarms required etc.
  • Using AutoCAD Design qualityfit for purpose Fire Alarm systems bespoke to the clients needs in line with FIA / BAFE regulations and guidance
  • Advising on any potential non-compliance issues with the customer at consultation stage
  • Assisting with fire alarm audits and any related documentation
  • Providing technical Fire systems support to internal staff and external customers

Key Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experienced Fire Alarms / Fire Systems Design Engineer or Design Manager with strong FIA / BAFE compliance knowledge
  • Strong user of AutoCAD to design Fire Alarm systems / solutions
  • Experience working to BAFE / FIA standards
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant British Standards, regulations, and legislation
  • Full driving license and happy to travel to customer sites (when needed)

This role would suit a Fire Alarm Specialist based in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire or Nottinghamshire.
