Our @One Alliance is a collaborative organisation, comprising of eight partners, who together will deliver projects accounting for over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.

Working as a Senior EEC Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering Contract Management and Contract Administration services across our @one Alliance, which is our largest and maturest Alliance.

You'll be responsible for discharging the ECC Project Manager actions across the Tier 1 Supply Chain. The role will support the integrated delivery teams in providing robust Commercial and Contract Management practices.

We're looking for someone who is collaborative and has a pro-active approach of Contract management to enable efficient project delivery. You'll have a collaborative mindset to suit the Alliancing/Framework environment we operate within.

This role also extends into the AWS Strategic Tier 2 Frameworks to either directly or indirectly support effective contract management across the business.

We're looking for someone with positive engagement and leadership with stakeholders not only within the delivery routes but across the wider business and externally to ensure that competing priorities are dealt with efficiently.

You'll support the delivery of our capital programme and helps ensure all parties to maximise efficiencies, deliver outperformance and promote a collaborative approach.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be responsible for the independent administration and execution of the NEC3 contracts across our Tier 1 Supply Chain.

  • Be responsible for discharging the ECC Project Manager actions as delegated across the Tier 1 Supply Chain.

  • Ensuring the ECC Project Manager and ECC Supervisor actions delegated to Project Delivery roles are implemented and are effective.

  • Be responsible for effective change control ensuring Early Warnings are raised and Risk Reduction Meetings are held regularly with the delivery teams.

  • Ensuring project deliverables are achieved and evidenced to support governance approval.

  • Managing Client project governance protocols.

  • Active participation in Portfolio Boards acting in accordance with the Portfolio Terms of Reference for the "Board Quorate"

  • Provide Contract Management support in the various programme boards and governance groups.

  • Instil an environment that positively encourages the integrated teams to make the correct decisions and choices in line with the governance process, structures and commercial models that allows the required contractual delegated responsibilities.

  • Promote collaboration by establishing mutually beneficial relationships across all stakeholders within the delivery routes.

  • Support timely resolution of any contractual issues that arise.

What does it take to be successful?

  • HND or Degree in construction/engineering/science subject

  • NEC3 or NEC 4 Project Manager Accreditation

  • Highly capable and experienced in commercial management.

  • Demonstrable project management knowledge and experience of a design and construction environment.

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the NEC contract and its application.

  • Significant experience of commercially managing Construction Contracts across the utility or construction sector.

  • Demonstrable experience of dispute resolution and mediation

  • Experience of Team Management
