Our client is now looking for a dedicated Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time, office-based basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a stable, growing business that values quality, collaboration, and long-term success.

About the RoleAs a Credit Controller, you will manage credit control duties for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely payments, resolving queries, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use accounting software to run aged debt reports and manage debt chasing activities.
  • Proactively contact client's customers to confirm payment timelines and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with client's sales teams to address queries and ensure smooth payment processes.
  • Escalate unresolved issues in line with agreed policies and liaise with debt collection agencies or legal teams as needed.
  • Provide regular reporting on debtor performance to clients.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar credit control role.
  • Skills: Fast, accurate data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with people at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with accounting software such as Sage or Netsuite is a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience in broader finance roles or familiarity with sales order processing systems.
