Job Purpose:

• The purpose of this role is to ensure that the customers internationally receive a first class experience in their contact with the company.
• To provide support to the commercial team in their day-to-day activities and to help them in delivering the businesses growth objectives.

Principle Responsibilities for Customer Operations Specialist:

• Full responsibility for customer orders from receipt to delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers & suppliers.
• Calculate the cost of goods and services to ensure customer requirements are met, whilst achieving/succeeding expected target margins.
• Communicate with customers to offer the best service.
• Book road transport for deliveries.
• Resolve transport issues.
• Liaise with all departments within the business to ensure commercial, procurement, finance, design and technical requirements are met.
• Work with customers to analyse forecasts, and co-ordinate with procurement to forward plan material requirements.
• Ensure all customer details are maintained and up to date on their database.

Deputise in the absence of key staff:

The jobholder shall partly deputise for the Management Accountant in their absence (& FC in the absence of MA).

• Able to communicate effectively and develop working relations across departments.
• Fast learner.
• Flexibility - an understanding of small co. culture.
• Able to work 'in the office’ (Oundle based).
