A rapidly-growing retail organisation based in Peterborough are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team, as they look to become increasingly data-driven.

Joining their expanding Data & Insights team, this role will be fully office-based in keeping with their highly collaborative and close-knit culture. They often go out for office socials, and there's a great team spirit running throughout the organisation.

They have identified data as being absolutely critical to their growth strategy, and there is a huge amount of growth potential both in this role and the wider team. They've recently built a brand-new Snowflake data warehouse to centralise their data, and are striving to automate reporting wherever possible.

In this commercially-focused role, you will be using SQL to query and manipulate complex data sets, and then analyse and produce insightful visualisations in Tableau, on areas such as sales performance and marketing - please note that you don't need to have worked with Tableau before, as long as you've worked with a similar data visualisation tool e.g. Power BI or Qlik etc.

Any experience with Google Analytics would be a huge benefit, but otherwise this is something you'd also have the opportunity to learn in this role.

Requirements:

  • Strong SQL scripting skills to query complex datasets
  • Data visualisation experience in a tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.
  • An understanding of data warehouse environment
  • Good skills in Excel to manipulate and present data
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics would be helpful but not essential
  • Comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels
