Planner
£55,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Cambridge/Peterborough
Permanent, Hybrid

Are you a digitally passionate Planner with a creative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to influence change? A water sector leading solution provider is looking for a Planner to join their Digital Delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the cutting edge of construction technology. The Planner role will initially be based in Peterborough, transitioning to Cambridge on a hybrid-working split.


About the Role:

As a Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery team and the broader integration of digital tools into our business processes. This role covers two main aspects:


1. Rehearsal Technician (Approx. 70%)

  • Develop 4D models using Synchro to support Digital Rehearsals by linking project programmes with models to provide visualisations.
  • Ensure the programme accurately represents project sequencing, highlighting clashes, safety concerns, and areas for optimisation.
  • Produce visual outputs for various purposes, from team briefings and weekly lookaheads to detailed client presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Project Planner and receive support from our Digital Core Team during peak periods.


2. Rehearsal Facilitator (Approx. 30%)

  • Facilitate Digital Rehearsals in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Support strategic delivery planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Regularly visit construction sites to align digital planning with on-site realities.
  • Training in rehearsal facilitation will be provided.


Key Requirements: Planner

  • Experience with 4D Synchro software and a strong background in planning and scheduling.
  • An appreciation for critical path management and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to work effectively with delivery teams.
  • A proactive approach to integrating digital tools and resolving system issues.
  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and identify synergies across regional teams.
