Tradewind are currently working with a fabulous Primary School in Peterborough who are on the lookout for an experienced Teaching Assistant with BSL Specialism to join their team this new academic year

***Teaching Assistant - British Sign Language Specialism (BSL)

***Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

***Immediate start

***£90 to £100 per day based on level of experience

***Qualification in BSL required

**About the School**

Currently looking to expand their specialist team, this lovely primary school in Peterborough do everything they can to ensure each child has equal access throughout their journey. With a strong and welcoming team of staff, they strive to create a safe a nurturing environment for all students and staff members. You'll be given opportunity to progress and develop through training days and CPD with fantastic support from SLT along the way.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide one to one support
  • Working as a team to ensure the correct support
  • Help the teacher create a safe a nurturing learning environment for all students
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Approach all situations with a positive, can do attitude
  • Nurture the pupils you work with

**Qualifications and Skills**

  • Previous experience working with the Hearing Impaired
  • At least a Level 3 qualification in BSL
  • Have experience or interest in working with Children with Autism
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to differentiate and provide alternative learning methods
