Are you a proactive and safety-focused Electrical Engineer looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join our team in Peterborough, where you'll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing cutting-edge equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Maintenance
    • Carry out electrical maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety legislation.
    • Maintain and update electrical programs, ensuring current and accurate information.
    • Perform statutory inspections, testing procedures, and safety inspections as per schedule.
    • Assist with plant instrumentation servicing and calibration, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
    • Support manufacturing departments across the facility as needed.
  • Fault Finding & Repair
    • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using logical fault-finding techniques and equipment.
    • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is back in operation quickly and safely.
    • Perform repairs and maintenance on unit spares for the manufacturing process.
  • Installation & Modification
    • Commission and install new equipment alongside project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Design circuit diagrams using CAD and write relevant PLC programs.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to production lines and equipment.
    • Performance Analysis
    • Analyse line performance to optimize speed, temperature, and product flow.
    • Implement improvements and ensure all modifications are recorded accurately.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering (with electrical bias).
  • Strong commitment to Health and Safety standards.
  • Positive attitude and a drive for continuous improvement.

Beneficial Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC (Level 4) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
  • Basic programming and fault-finding skills.
