Manufacturing Futures are looking to appoint Field Service Engineers with manufacturing and installation experience based in the Midlands. Peterborough would be ideal, but your patch will include as north as Derby and as south as the top of the M25. Anywhere in this southern Midlands region would suit. As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for field-based service and repair of existing sites and installation of equipment at new sites. Working closely with other members of the service team your role as Field Service Engineer will ensure efficient service and maintenance of existing, new and replacement equipment, ensuring work is conducted in a safe, organised and professional manner. It is important you are happy with travel, expecting to put 10,000 to 15,000 miles on your company van, although it is rare this will involve overnight stays.Field Service Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Repair, Maintenance, Installation, Service* Deliver on-site scheduled PPM maintenance and servicing of equipment, supported by maintenance contracts* Conduct routine service work on all installed equipment (often working unsupervised)* Carry out commissioning and repair on all types of installed systemField Service Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Repair, Maintenance, Installation, Service* Possess a good understanding of installing new electro-mechanical equipment* Hold a full driving license (preferably clean)* Adopt a flexible approach with the desire to learn and take on new skills* Willing to travel on a regular basis* Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to conduct diagnostic testing* Demonstrate knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment* Hold a relevant HNC or above in electrical or electronic engineering
