As a well established M & E Contractor in the commercial sector we are experienced in both Mechanical and Electrical works, working on a wide variety of projects within the construction, healthcare, education, historic and commercial sectors. Our projects are predominantly in the range of £50k to £2m.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced estimator, with a background in electrical engineering. We are keen to appoint the right candidate to this post though, so please do apply if you know you have the technical ability, but lack the experience. Applicants of all levels will be considered.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete tenders to specification and provide compliant quotations in a timely manner
- Create quotations using the company software and schedule of rates
- Obtain and assess estimates and prices from sub-contractors and suppliers respectively
- Review, evaluate and follow up on tenders and quotations, updating the status when necessary
- Carry out site surveys when required
- Work closely with immediate management, striving to continuously improve Estimating processes and procedures
- Liaise with clients and potential clients in a confident and effective manner, building lasting professional relationships
- Effectual handover to Project Managers when tenders are won or quotations approved
Essential Requirements:
- Knowledge of the electrical & construction industry and its processes
- Estimating experience
- Competent user of IT packages/computer literate including estimation software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills with both clients and colleagues
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Works well in a team environment
- Valid UK driving licence
- Conscientious with an eye for detail
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
