Electrical Supervisor wanted

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining services including Electrical, BMS and automation systems, nurse call and fire alarm systems in accordance with all current electrical regulations
  • Acting as a tradesman and passing on expert knowledge to other trades staff
  • Promoting a flexible approach and encouraging co-operation and versatility of skills
  • Accepting delegate responsibilities when necessary to advise and liaise with other departments
  • Following the management systems and work order procedures to ensure the organisation meets all contractual KPI’s
  • Liaising with and assisting contractors when required, issuing Permits to Work and all necessary paperwork
  • Advising, communicating and working with the Statutory Inspectors, contractors on various systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures
  • Undertaking complex fault diagnosis and fault rectification across the site

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Experience working as a craftsperson within a commercial or publicly used building
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Able to carry out in depth fault finding on complex electrical and mechanical systems
  • IT literate with ability to use MS office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
