Instrumentation Technician

Peterborough

Working Hours 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs & 8am-1pm Fri

12 month contract (likely to be extended)

Responsibilities of the Instrumentation Technician

  • Work to procedures/instructions to perform safe and defect free instrumentation solutions.
  • Implement Data Acquisition solutions to support testing of various powertrains to engineering requirements.
  • Operate a multitude of different off-highway vehicles including but not limited to, Hydraulic Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Telehandlers, Track Type Tractors where required.
  • Diagnose and fix a range of faults data logging systems and sensors.
  • Work from engineering electrical drawings.
  • Produce electrical looms to interface powertrains to machine.

Qualifications & Experience Required of the Instrumentation Technician

  • The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures.
  • The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives.
  • A working knowledge of instrumentation and its application.
  • You will possess effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organization.
  • Have a fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities.
  • Prepared to undertake required training/learning.
  • Applicants will ideally have instrumentation and or data acquisition experience.
  • Working towards or completed some form of relevant higher education (NVQ Level 3).
  • Good PC skills ability to use Microsoft Office
