We are working with a leading UK manufacturing company in the advanced power-train market. They have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician to test electrical systems of hybrids and EVs, at the European research and development centre of excellence.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work to procedures to deliver safe and defect-free instrumentation solutions
  • Produce electrical looms to connect power-trains to machines
  • Implement data acquisition solutions for power-train testing
  • Diagnose and fix data logging system and sensor faults
  • Work from engineering electrical drawings
  • Travel to test and development facilities, including some overseas facilities
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area
  • Participate in training and further learning as needed

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in instrumentation and its applications
  • Ideally, experience in instrumentation and/or data acquisition sensors
  • Working towards or completed relevant higher education (e.g., NVQ Level 3)
  • Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office and CAT-designed software
