Position – Water Hygiene Technician

Location - Peterborough

Salary/Package - £25,000 - £29,500, Van/Fuel Card, Career progression, PPE & Tools, OT available

Client

My client provides solutions for water treatment and water hygiene in industrial, commercial, and domestic environments, specialising in legionella control and compliance, as well as the manufacturing of bespoke water treatment systems.

We are now looking for a Water Hygiene Monitoring Technician, located in or around Peterborough.

Going forward, you will be trained up on various systems:

  • Domestic hot and cold
  • Plumbing systems in such as Humidification.
  • EVAC, Softeners and Plant
  • Pumps and Dosing Systems

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out regular PPM work, including temperature monitoring, sampling, shower head/hose cleaning and disinfection and inspection of water tanks.
  • Descale water outlets/calorifiers.
  • Complete service reports

With the right work ethic, and the will to excel in your role, you will also be trained to do the following responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect water tanks, domestic systems, and cooling systems.
  • Gain knowledge of flushing closed heating/chilled systems.
  • Service/inspect/fit TMV's.
  • Carry out various remedial works, such as dead-leg removal, water tank upgrades.

You must have or hold:

  • NVQ Level 2, ideally level 3 Plumbing
  • Industry experience of 1/3 years within Water Hygiene, Water Treatment or Softeners
  • Full UK Licence

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team.

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
