A well-established and highly sought after accountancy practice is looking for a skilled Audit Assistant Manager to join their team in Peterborough.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified professional with strong technical knowledge and experience leading audit teams.

THE ROLE:

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory audits and assurance services. You will manage a small portfolio of clients while also supporting on complex and high-profile assignments. This role offers clear progression opportunities in a fast-growing team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion, working with clients across a diverse range of industries, including corporate groups with turnovers of up to £500m.
  • Reviewing statutory audit files to ensure high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and being their primary point of contact, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for both group and single entities.
  • Working alongside senior managers and partners on advisory projects such as financial forecasting, business planning, reporting on internal controls, and financial due diligence.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the audit team, providing guidance and support for their development.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients, offering strategic advice and technical expertise.
