Our client is seeking a dynamic and progressive Commercial Finance Business Partner in the FMCG sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and make a significant impact on the business.
About the RoleAs a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will act as a Business Partner to the site senior Management and wider team. You will assist the senior team in understanding the operational performance of the location, highlight opportunities for improvement, and maintain strong financial controls through detailed financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce timely and accurate weekly and monthly accounts and financial analysis, including commentary.
- Assist in preparing monthly forecasts, annual plans, and three-year planning exercises.
- Conduct regular financial analysis for labour and yield to help operational teams mitigate financial losses.
- Ensure strong financial controls around stock management, self-billing of invoices, and third-party stock management.
- Identify capex opportunities, calculate associated benefits, and control spend throughout the capex process.
- Control and challenge operational overhead spend to identify savings opportunities.
- Deliver financial training to non-finance stakeholders to ensure clear accountability in the finance process.
- Drive continuous improvement and sustainability of existing savings, and identify new opportunities.
- Support stock management for packaging and raw materials.
- Complete ad hoc raw material and packaging stock audits and ensure obsolete stock is written off.
- Challenge track requests to ensure packing costs are realistic and kept to a minimum.
- Complete monthly accruals to ensure costs are accurately reflected in the accounts.
The ideal Commercial Finance Business Partner will have:
- Commercial finance experience
- Strong analytical mindset and variance analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Operational knowledge and experience in a similar industry to FMCG or logistics
- CIMA (or equivalent) Qualified, Finalist or Part Qualified Accountant.
