Broster Buchanan are delighted to be supporting a large education focussed organisation who are looking for Finance Project Manager. Leading a team of 3 System Administrators, this is a dual role, responsible for supporting end users in the resolution of day-to-day finance processing issues and user maintenance whilst also driving change, ensuring the accounting systems deliver the needs of the users across the organisation. Finding new and innovative ways of improving user experience and efficiency. This role will be involved in improving transaction processing and financial management and reporting. Working closely with the Director or Transformation, finance staff, I.T and senior leaders across central office and the schools, to understand their needs and to work with them to implement and embed change. A strong working relationship with the technology team is essential to ensure the finance systems are resilient and work within the group’s wider technology platforms and polices. Working closely with the system providers to understand product improvements and plan changes and initiatives as and when they are beneficial to the organisation.
  1. KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSANDEXPERIENCEREQUIRED
  • Fully qualified accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
  • At least 3 years in a similar role within a similar sized organisation.
  • A good working knowledge of financial ledger systems including purchase to pay, month end routines and financial planning systems, to complete routine day to day set up and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience of liaising with third-party suppliers to resolve system queries and implement fixes and new system functionality.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • A curiosity to seek new and efficient ways for the finance team to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environment with the ability to be proactive and bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the department as the group continues to grow.
