We are delighted to be supporting a Global food manufacturing organisation in their search for an Interim Finance Director. This role offers flexibility and can be based in either, Melmerby (Yorkshire) or Peterborough (Cambridgeshire) with regular travel to the sites in Europe. The client is looking for interim support whilst recruiting internally for the permanent Finance Director, initially we are looking for interim support for 3 months but this is highly likely to be for a longer period. 

The Interim Finance Director will report to the MD with a functional line to the CFO, and will lead the Finance Team. The focus will be on providing a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen, you will be instrumental in managing the team, reporting into group overseeing financial controls.  What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, creating a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Provide strategic financial input to the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring robust business planning and performance.
  • Oversee financial control and governance, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Drive the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, supporting sustainable EBIT growth.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships across the division, group and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • Experience in strategic and operational financial transformation within a complex, B2B environment.
  • Experience with ERP implementation would be advantageous.
  • Strong track record of driving business improvements through financial insight.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships across different cultures and regions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for challenging the status quo.
