Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to work on an active railway site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site, following strict safety procedures in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining platforms, waiting areas, staff facilities, and other railway premises
- Litter picking, waste disposal, and general tidying of public and staff areas
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Reporting any hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
- Following all railway site rules and regulations, including PPE requirements
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of attention to detail and reliability
- Physically fit and able to work in an active railway environment
Essential Pre-Employment Checks:
- Medical assessment (to ensure fitness for work on a railway site)
- Drug & alcohol test (must be passed before an offer is made)
- Safety training (successful completion required)
