Engine Build Technician

Peterborough

Hours – 7am-3:30pm Mon-Thurs & 7am-12pm Fri

12 month contract (likely to be extended)

The Engine Build Technician will assist engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future product, components, materials and processes.  An essential role focused on executing engine build, strip and rebuild activities to customer requirements in support of the teams purpose of planning, preparing, and executing engine tests. 

Responsibilities of the Engine Build Technician include

  • Follow documented standard work procedures/instructions to perform safe and defect free engine build, strip and rebuild tasks that allow for high quality data collection
  • Collaborate and communicate with engineers responsible for engine test programs
  • Support value stream improvements projects and utilise Lean tools

Qualifications & Experience Required of the Engine Build Technician

  • A good working knowledge of instrumentation and its application
  • The ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment
  • Prepared to undertake required training
  • Good PC skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications
