We have a great opportunity for an Estimator to join our team within Vistry East Anglia, at our Peterborough office. As our Estimator, you will be involved in producing land appraisals and will require experience in pricing a range of housing developments varying in complexity. The candidate will be capable of working on their own initiative and closely with the land team and will be responsible for maintaining a competitive cost database with ultimate responsibility to Commercial Director.

    • Provide any supporting information for the quality submission.
    • Provide input into post tender clarifications and negotiations.
    • Attendance at Client / Stakeholder meetings as required.
    • Provide continual pricing updates following the tender submission as quarterly appraisal updates.
    • Maintenance of benchmarking schedules/data.
    • Preparing documentation for handover meetings to production and commercial teams.
    • Secure land opportunities within our market sector and geographic operational area to generate development work and contracting opportunities.
    • Undertake appraisals for development sites based on information provided including relevant quarterly updates.
    • Review site constraints, risks, and opportunities in conjunction with the D&C team and cost mitigation strategies.
    • Review Planning / S106 requirements assessing any financial implications.
    • Develop a strategy with the team and manage the measure and financial element of the development.
    • Supporting value engineering or negotiating exercises where required.
    • Update financial appraisal at key stages of the development process – including offer stage, acquisition approval, planning application and planning approval stages.
    • Financial modelling of cost and revenue streams to determine funding requirements of each development.
    • Knowledge of COINS Land Appraisal system for submitting land viabilities.
