OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to support our client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, with the ability to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring patients' health conditions through the use of advanced imaging technology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging results.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain patient records and document examination findings in accordance with medical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care decisions.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and calibrated according to safety standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technologies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
- General, gynae, small parts, DVT's and MSK trained
- Familiarity with mammography and CT procedures is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to sonography practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage patient records and documentation efficiently.

- UK trained/qualification
- NHS experience
