Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Commercial/Labour) (12 month contract)

Job Summary: Are you a skilled professional with expertise in maintaining and repairing machines, mechanical equipment, or building structures? We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and utilise their broad skill set across multiple maintenance and craft disciplines to ensure our establishment runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and supervise staff in repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and oversee the reassembly of equipment.

  • Conduct and monitor routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation, efficient building systems, and the upkeep of physical structures.

  • Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and assign appropriate corrective measures.

  • Evaluate maintenance or repair work, including types and costs, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Oversee dismantling and reassembly of devices using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to remove defective parts.

  • Analyse mechanical problems and assign staff to resolve them, referencing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as needed.
