Your Role as a Material Planner

As a Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to meet demand. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing materials planning panels daily to align supply with demand.
  • Releasing new purchase orders for whole goods to meet delivery timelines.
  • Managing supplier order boards, updating planning systems, and processing purchase order changes.
  • Providing accurate updates to customer order management teams.
  • Collaborating in end-to-end planning meetings and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Aligning supply plans with demand plans to optimise inventory levels.
  • Monitoring abnormal demand signals and stock levels to adjust plans accordingly.
  • Running simulations to analyse planning parameter changes and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement projects.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or inventory control.
  • Proficiency in materials planning systems and tools such as Excel, Access, or TOAD.
  • Strong competencies in communication, results-driven approaches, and managing complexity.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent certification (additional qualifications preferred).
