KM Recruitment is seeking a Residential Childcare Assessor/Trainer to cover Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
The position offers a salary ranging from £30,000 to £37,000, with the potential for an additional £10,000 OTE based on qualifications and experience.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ occupational competency as a Manager within a Children's Home and hold a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare.
Essential qualifications include a recognized Assessor award or a Level 3 teaching qualification, along with a Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
The role involves assessing learners for Apprenticeships and providing support in Functional Skills, while maintaining documentation and conducting online training sessions.

Hold either a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA OR Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
Ideally have experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare ideally up to Level 5.
Must hold a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Hold a minimum of 2 years’ occupational competency as a Manager within a Children's Home.
Must hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Must be flexible with travel.

Duties include:

Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.
Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
