Urgently Needed: Tutor for 13-Year-Old in PE1Are you an experienced tutor who thrives on making a positive impact on young lives? Do you have a knack for building trust and fostering growth in children with special needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic tutor to provide immediate support to a 13-year-old boy in the PE1 area. This young man is bright, polite, and eager to learn but faces challenges related to:

  • Expressive Language: He may struggle to communicate his thoughts and feelings effectively.
  • Social Skills: He may need guidance and practice in navigating social situations confidently.
  • Anxiety and Sadness: He experiences anxiety and sadness, which can sometimes affect his engagement in learning.

Your Role:

  • Core Subject Support: Provide tailored tuition in core subjects (e.g., Maths, English) to help him achieve his academic potential.
  • Expressive Language Development: Use creative and engaging methods to enhance his communication skills, including vocabulary building, storytelling, and role-playing.
  • Social Skills Enhancement: Help him develop strategies for interacting with others, understanding social cues, and managing emotions in social situations.
  • Emotional Support: Create a safe and nurturing environment where he can feel comfortable expressing his feelings and building resilience.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEND and SEMH children: Demonstrated success in supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • DBS on the Update Service: A current and valid DBS check is essential.
  • Passionate and Patient: A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people and a patient, understanding approach.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the child, parents, and school staff.
  • Immediate Availability: This position is ready to start immediately.
