Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor for a national housing association. The salary is £37,184, plus £1,250 car allowance. This is an agile role covering their East and South East region, with travel around the region required, as well as occasional attendance at their offices in Peterborough and Camberley.
The role:
- Support and improve colleague safety and provide assurance that the health and safety management system is meeting its legal requirements and that risk controls are in place and effective
- Deliver colleague safety training programmes, supporting and advising colleagues in your area and auditing to a schedule in order to monitor and analyse the performance of the health and safety management system
- Develop an audit system that can be used to ensure that health and safety risks are controlled and customer and colleague safety is ensured
- Assist the Group Health and Safety Manager in investigation of accidents and incidents and making recommendations where improvement action is required
- Chair local meetings to discuss health and safety issues, lessons learned and actions required
What you need:
- NEBOSH NATIONAL general certificate
- Sound knowledge of current UK health and safety legislative and regulatory requirements
- Experience of internal auditing or auditing in a variety of health and safety fields
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
- Housing background would be beneficial but not essential
