A leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Account Manager to join their growing team in Peterborough. This role is pivotal in developing long-term client relationships, identifying new opportunities for growth, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management – Be the primary contact for a portfolio of key clients, ensuring exceptional service levels and a customer-first approach.
  • Exceptional Customer Service – Proactively support clients, ensuring their expectations are not just met but exceeded, and resolving any service issues swiftly.
  • Strategic Account Planning – Develop and maintain a clear account strategy, setting objectives to maximise sales penetration and revenue growth.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting – Monitor client account performance and analyse revenue trends.
  • Service Issue Resolution – Act as a key escalation point, proactively resolving any service-related challenges to ensure smooth operations.

Person Specification

  • Ideally have proven account management experience within the courier, logistics, or fulfilment industry (not essential).
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a natural ability to engage, influence, and drive client satisfaction.
  • Confident communicator, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive problem solver, able to work autonomously and manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools.
