Systems Engineer – Remote with Occasional Travel to Peterborough
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Peterborough - once or twice a week)
Salary: £85,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities for this Systems Engineer:
- Conduct in-depth system analysis of software programs, applications, and web services.
- Integrate new systems and applications efficiently into business operations.
- Leverage Agile methodologies, including tools like JIRA, scrums, and sprints.
- Apply your expertise in bespoke software development and business analysis to meet project goals.
- Collaborate across departments to understand business needs, products, and processes.
- Gather requirements and create detailed analysis artifacts/documentation.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architecture, Support teams, Developers, and Testers to ensure solutions align with stakeholder requirements.
- Lead and work independently, providing guidance as needed.
- Use your technical expertise to write mapping documents and work with XML.
Key Requirements for this Systems Engineer role:Â
- Strong technical proficiency and understanding of business analysis processes.
- Expertise in API development and XML integration.
- Experience capturing and defining technical system requirements and specifications.
- Background in data integration and migration projects.
- Familiarity with API integration, system integration (ETL, ELT), and related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of application architecture (API, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, RESTful web services, N-Tier Applications).
- Proficiency in requirements modeling techniques (UML, use cases, user stories, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in gathering user requirements and leading workshops with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical solutions.
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-national transformation projects.
- Proven track record in client-facing, project-based environments.
- Prior experience working within Agile delivery teams.
