We are seeking a Systems Administrator to serve as the first and second line support for our client based in Peterborough. This role involves managing the IT Helpdesk, ensuring that all staff have the necessary equipment, and supporting staff with various software queries. The ideal candidate will have experience with programs like Sage X3, Power BI, and MS SQL, and must be an excellent communicator capable of working under pressure.
Day-to-day of the role:- Monitor the Helpdesk throughout the day, managing workflow and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Responsible for the provision of necessary equipment for staff to fulfil their roles effectively (screens, headsets, keyboards, etc.).
- Support staff with Sage X3, Power BI, and general IT queries.
- Manage user onboarding processes including user creation, equipment provision, and conducting IT inductions.
- Oversee asset management, maintaining an updated asset list as new hires start and as staff leave.
- Experience with Sage X3, Power BI, MS SQL, Microsoft Office, and Windows Server.
- Proven experience managing an IT Helpdesk.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise clearly and professionally with all levels of staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Strong sense of humour and excellent time management skills are essential.
