gap healthcare are a leading health and social care recruitment agency, committed to providing high-quality care services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join a reputable care provider based in Cambridgeshire who supports adults with learning disabilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support services that meet regulatory standards.

Role Summary: As a Team Leader, you will manage and lead a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services to adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. You will oversee the development and implementation of Support Plans, manage staff performance, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the team to meet Regulatory Commissioners and Company Standards.
  • Maintain high-quality service delivery as per Assessments and Support Plans.
  • Ensure detailed, outcome-focused Support Plans for all Service Users.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews, providing comprehensive reports.
  • Supervise and audit staff performance in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in the assessment and review of new and existing support packages.
  • Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Undertake sleep-ins when required.
  • Ensure person-centred support and regular review of service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of personal health and hygiene for Service Users.
  • Provide Line Management support and ensure staff development and training.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and staff competency.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Implement company Policies and Procedures and maintain quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Care or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead a team and promote person-centred support.
  • Experience in writing outcome-based Support Plans and conducting staff supervisions and performance reviews.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various professionals.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Must be flexible, able to work at short notice, and participate in an On-Call rota system.
  • Must be able to drive and confirm the right to work in the UK.
  • Subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
