QUALITY CO-ORDINATOR

Full Time

Permanent Role

Salary - £26k - £28k per annum

Key Tasks:

  • Development and maintenance of systems to ensure compliance of food safety requirements which include the following schemes:

o HACCP

o BRCGS

o Soil Association (Organic)

o Fairtrade

o Rainforest Alliance

    • Internal auditing + GMP audits
  • Traceability and investigation of customer complaints
  • Day to day QC/QA of production activities
  • Internal and customer specifications and compliance documentation requested by customers
  • Assist department on all regulatory internal/external processes, audits and visits.
  • Ensure all employees comply with G.M.P. and hygiene procedures
  • Carry out finished goods checks ensuring with standards.
  • HACCP
  • Contribute to the 'Continuous Improvement’ of Quality Management System.
  • Keep up to date with legislation via trade associations, government sources such as FSA.

Competency :-

  • Education/Experience:-
  • Food science or similar relevant degree.
  • Internal auditing
  • HACCP
  • Experience in QC./QA with knowledge and application of BRCGS in the food industry.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible in terms of working hours.
  • Good attitude.
  • Work / Skills:-
  • Must be able to organize and be organized.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to drive through change where required.
