Job Title: Quality CoordinatorLocation: PeterboroughSalary: up to £28,000Job Type: Permanent, Full Time About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to join our client’s team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving the quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure compliance with food safety requirements, including HACCP, BRCGS, Soil Association (Organic), Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance standards.
  • Conduct internal and GMP audits to ensure adherence to company procedures and compliance standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Oversee day-to-day QC/QA activities.
  • Manage internal and customer specifications, including compliance documentation.
  • Support regulatory processes, audits, and visits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure all employees comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene procedures.
  • Perform finished goods checks to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Stay updated with relevant legislation through trade associations and government sources such as the FSA.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • A degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Experience in internal auditing and HACCP.
  • Proven experience in QC/QA within the food industry, with knowledge of BRCGS standards.
  • Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive change and implement improvements.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
