- Develop and maintain systems to ensure compliance with food safety requirements, including HACCP, BRCGS, Soil Association (Organic), Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance standards.
- Conduct internal and GMP audits to ensure adherence to company procedures and compliance standards.
- Investigate customer complaints.
- Oversee day-to-day QC/QA activities.
- Manage internal and customer specifications, including compliance documentation.
- Support regulatory processes, audits, and visits, both internal and external.
- Ensure all employees comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene procedures.
- Perform finished goods checks to ensure they meet required standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Stay updated with relevant legislation through trade associations and government sources such as the FSA.
- A degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Experience in internal auditing and HACCP.
- Proven experience in QC/QA within the food industry, with knowledge of BRCGS standards.
- Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
