Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team in the vehicle logistics sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transport operations, ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles, and maintaining accurate records. This role is integral to the smooth running of our logistics processes and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule vehicle transport operations, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
- Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any transport-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, transport schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Process transport-related paperwork, including delivery notes, invoices, and fuel receipts.
- Monitor and track vehicle locations using fleet management systems.
- Ensure all transport activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Liaise with transport providers and negotiate contracts to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Support the transport team with administrative duties, including data entry and report generation.
- Assist with compliance checks, including vehicle maintenance records and driver certifications.
- Handle customer queries regarding vehicle deliveries and collections professionally and efficiently.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a transport administration or logistics coordination role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and transport management software.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance within the vehicle logistics sector is advantageous.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving transport issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
