Having seen 30% growth over the past 12 months this leading manufacturing firm is now looking for an experienced Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor to join their team.

This role would be really well suited to an individual who has a stable career history working within inventory, stock or warehouse leadership and is now looking to step up. It’s a hands on supervisory role where accuracy and team management is key.

The successful applicant will oversee the overall warehouse operations but there will be a strong emphasis on stock and inventory management.

Due to the manufacturing environment, you must be operationally minded. You must be able to follow process and work accurately with large amounts of product and data.

The Role - Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor:

  • Manage a team of 5-6 people.
  • Warehouse planning, management and storage for raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
  • Manage the picking team, organising pick sheets in line with production plans.
  • Oversee dispatch to ensure deliveries go out as planned.
  • Work closely with Production to ensure production demands are met as per the schedule.
  • Inventory management.
  • General maintenance of the warehouse, adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider business to identify areas of improvement and increase performance and productivity.

The Individual:

  • Process driven and operationally minded.
  • This role is really well suited to a supervisor or team leader who has previously worked with a small team. Someone who is able to create a cohesive team environment and get the best out of their employees.
  • The ability to work with individuals, identify areas of improvement and inevitably improve performance.
  • A strong communicator who can work well with the wider business.
  • Organised, able to manage a busy schedule and delegate accordingly.
  • Previous warehouse/inventory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is key. This is a unique manufacturing environment where precision is essential.
  • Confident with Microsoft packages, especially Excel and outlook as well as operating MRP.
  • Forklift license is essential. Fire Marshall and First Aid trained is preferable.

Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential. Experience of working with multiple products and specific quantities would be a distinct advantage. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.

Training and support will be in place, development will be encouraged and this will no doubt be a key role as the business continues to expand over the coming years.
