A varied, data driven administration role working within a busy production office.
Due to continued growth, a market leading manufacturing firm is looking for a Production Planner to join their team.
Reporting into the Production Manager, the Production Planner will be responsible for supporting with a range of production planning tasks, helping to prepare and organise data for planning and scheduling purposes.
The successful candidate will process and update the MRP system, raise new manufacturing orders and ensure accurate documentation is in place to support smooth production workflows.
This role can be carried out on either a full time or part time basis, with the successful candidate working a minimum of 20 hours a week, over 5 days.
Previous production planning or data admin experience is essential to be considered for this role. It is a data focussed position and you will be required to carry out a high volume of work on Microsoft Excel.

The Job - Production Planner:
- Process production related paperwork accurately and promptly using the MRP system.
- Raise and maintain new manufacturing orders.
- Support the Production Manager by planning and organising data for planning and scheduling purposes.
- Liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments to share updates on production documentation and status.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure smooth administrative workflows.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure clear and effective communication regarding raw materials and packaging requirements.
- Attend production meetings.
- Manage the weekly hours for all agency workers.
- Learn and assist with production planning tasks, with the opportunity to develop within the role.
The Individual:
- Confident with all Microsoft packages, especially Excel, as well as having previous experience operating an MRP system.
- Data focused and detail orientated.
- Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with the wider business to meet production demands.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work logically.
- Able to input and record data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong team player who’s keen to learn.
