Gap Technical are proud to be representing this leading food manufacturing business in their search for a Lead Maintenance Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team within a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a 4-crew shift team, overseeing the maintenance of vessels, pumps, pipework, and instrumentation.
* Ensure the smooth operation of liquid processing equipment
* Supervise and delegate jobs, balancing reactive maintenance and internal PPM schedules.
* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using fishbone techniques and manage hands-on projects.
* Work closely with the team, with 70-80% of the role being hands-on, driving improvements in efficiency and quality.
* Coach and develop team members to foster a culture of self-motivation and continuous improvement.

Person Specification
* Experience in food, liquid, or wet chemical environments is preferred.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Experience with electrical or mechanical systems
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement.
* Previous military experience will be considered, but food experience is essential.
* Knowledge of liquid processing,
