We are hiring a Multi-Skilled Automation Engineer at our Peterborough depot.

Shift Pattern:

  • 4 on 4 off nights (18:00 to 06:00).
  • First week: normal office hours for training and induction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive and reactive maintenance of warehouse systems.
  • Support technical department with planning, instruction, and supervision.
  • Use the Agility maintenance system to record activities and suggest improvements.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate complex repairs and overhauls.
  • Schedule mechanics and operators, track disruptions, and ensure safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with departments for timely actions.
  • Occasionally work at heights and in cold environments (-18C).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Experience with PLC and PC-controlled automated systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn, work in cold conditions, and drive to the site.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
