We are hiring a Multi-Skilled Automation Engineer at our Peterborough depot.
Shift Pattern:
- 4 on 4 off nights (18:00 to 06:00).
- First week: normal office hours for training and induction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive and reactive maintenance of warehouse systems.
- Support technical department with planning, instruction, and supervision.
- Use the Agility maintenance system to record activities and suggest improvements.
- Manage spare parts inventory and place orders as needed.
- Coordinate complex repairs and overhauls.
- Schedule mechanics and operators, track disruptions, and ensure safety procedures.
- Collaborate with departments for timely actions.
- Occasionally work at heights and in cold environments (-18C).
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical and electrical fields.
- Experience with PLC and PC-controlled automated systems.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn, work in cold conditions, and drive to the site.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
